CAD Centric FEA - FEVA is a true general purpose multi-physics code developed with

  • the latest FE technology using the best computer science practice.
  • Its data base is flexible. It associates all the solid model entities with the Finite Element data.
  • Its GUI menu structure is clear and intuitive and adheres strictly to the Microsoft Windows standards and convention. Online and context sensitive documentation are available at the click of a button. This allows the user to learn the use of FEVA in the same way as any of the widely used Microsoft programs (such as Word,Excel and etc. ). That is by trial and error through  browsing the menus and  without having to resort to reading voluminous documentation.
  • Because of its Windows based GUI, it takes a user seamlessly through a solid model.
  • Performs a mesh generation and completes the model building for a linear/nonlinear F.E.A.
  • Its solver has the most advanced load control that takes the burden of nonlinear analysis off the analyst's shoulders.

For convenience FEVA is seamlessly divided into the following three programs which share a common database :-

VisiSage the solid model based semi- and automatic mesh generator. VisiSage generates tetrahedral meshes automatically. VisiSage also generates surface meshes for shell analysis. A semi-automatic hex mesh generator produces high quality elements. The meshes generated by Visisage contains solid model geometric properties that simplifies access to volumes,surfaces and edges during the subsequent model creation stage.

SageView the pre- and post- processor for the F.E. solvers. Modeling and review is completed here.

Superconvergent Adaptive General Elements (SAGE) program. This program comes in two versions a linear version and a nonlinear version. The loading controls for the nonlinear version are automatic and depend on the user specified error tolerances. The program performs multi-physics analysis with strong coupling between structural mechanics, heat transfer and Fluid flow elements.

Adaptive Mesh Refinement. The CAD centric design of FEVA results in it being ideally placed for automatic/semi automatic mesh refinement using a hybrid combination of h and p adaptive methods. These methods may be applied in both the linear and nonlinear regime.

We are pleased to announce the release of  version 1.7 of FEVA. This includes the Fluid and Electro-Static Elements in a directly coupled solver.
